SMART CITY WIFI AND PUBLIC INTERNET PLATFORM
Provide controlled public WiFi access for citizens and visitors

What is Smart City WiFi?
Smart City WiFi helps cities, municipalities, tourist areas and public venues provide controlled Internet access for citizens, visitors and guests through a public WiFi network.
Antamedia WiFi Hotspot can manage captive portal login, access rules, bandwidth limits, visitor information, surveys, analytics, roaming and consent-based communication from one platform.

Cities and public organizations can use Smart City WiFi to provide convenient Internet access in public spaces, tourist areas, transport zones, city centers, parks, institutions and event locations.
Antamedia Smart City WiFi helps operators create branded captive portals, apply access rules, manage bandwidth, display city information, collect feedback and track usage from the dashboard.
The platform can support public information pages, tourism content, visitor guidance, surveys, service announcements and consent-based communication while keeping public WiFi access controlled and measurable.
How Smart City WiFi Works

When a citizen or visitor connects to the public WiFi network, WiFi Hotspot redirects the device to a branded captive portal page.
The user can log in through a configurd access method, such as free access, access code, voucher code, email login, OTP, social login or another approved login flow.
After login, the platform applies configured access rules, including speed limits, session duration, bandwidth quota and device limits.
The user can then be redirected to a city information page, tourism guide, public service page, Digital Guide, feedback form, event page or selected website, while administrators can review sessions, usage and reports from the dashboard.
Citizen and Visitor Feedback

Smart City WiFi can be used to collect feedback from citizens, tourists and visitors through surveys, rating forms and comment fields.
Surveys can help public organizations understand satisfaction with public areas, visitor services, city information, transport zones, tourist locations, events and WiFi quality.
Feedback can be reviewed from the dashboard and used to improve public services, visitor guidance and city communication.
Public Information and Service Notifications
Smart City WiFi can display important public information before or after login, such as city guidelines, visitor information, public service updates, event notices, transport information, safety messages, tourism content or local announcements.
The splash page or welcome page can be used as a simple communication channel for citizens and visitors, helping them find useful information while connecting to public WiFi.
Where contact details or consent are collected, the login flow should be configured according to the organization’s privacy policy, local regulations and data retention requirements.

Public WiFi Roaming
Smart City WiFi networks often include multiple access points across public spaces, buildings, squares, transport areas or tourist zones.
Where supported by the hardware and configuration, roaming helps users move between access points with fewer interruptions. After the first successful authentication, users may continue moving through the covered area without seeing the splash page again during the active session, depending on network and session settings.

Public Communication and Sponsored WiFi Access
Smart City WiFi can display image or video messages before or after login when the city or operator wants to share public information, tourism content, event promotions, local offers, service updates or sponsor messages.
Campaigns can be configured by location, WiFi zone, time period or selected audience segment, depending on the available consent-based data and campaign settings.
Reports can show impressions, clicks and engagement activity, helping operators understand campaign delivery and public WiFi usage without relying on intrusive messaging.
Separate Public WiFi from Internal Networks
Public WiFi should be separated from internal city, administrative and operational networks. This helps citizens and visitors access the Internet without exposing private systems, staff devices or sensitive infrastructure.
Antamedia Smart City WiFi helps administrators apply access rules, user limits and session control for public WiFi areas while keeping guest access separated from internal operations.

Connect Smart City WiFi
with Engage
Consent-based contact data, survey answers and campaign activity collected through public WiFi can be organized in Antamedia Engage.
Cities, venues and operators can use Engage to segment contacts, send relevant updates, follow up on feedback and manage communication with visitors, partners or public service users according to the configured consent rules.
Connect Smart City WiFi
with Digital Guide
After WiFi login, citizens and visitors can be redirected to Antamedia Digital Guide to access city information, tourist attractions, event pages, maps, local services, public notices, transport information, offers and visitor resources.
This turns the WiFi login flow into a useful digital entry point for city services and tourism information.
City Information and Sponsored WiFi Campaigns
Smart City WiFi can display city announcements, tourism content, event notices, transport updates, local offers or sponsor messages before or after WiFi login.
After the message is shown, visitors can continue to Internet access or be redirected to a selected page, such as a city website, tourism guide, event page, Digital Guide, service page or local offer.
Campaign reports can show impressions, clicks and engagement activity, helping city operators, venues or sponsors understand campaign delivery and WiFi usage across different locations.
